Please be advised that at 8:10 am on the KUSI News morning segment, District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis made a false and misleading statement regarding the defendant in a medical marijuana case, People v. Jovan Jackson.

On 12/03/09 Tom Fudge with KPBS released this radio interview with San Diego District Attorney Bonnie Dumanis after the Jovan Jackson verdict, in which Dumanis’ prosecutor lost the historic case miserably. Dumanis finally admits to the public. . .
“I think what this case shows us is the legislature needs to act to clarify certain parts of the law.”
December 1, 2009 marks a historical milestone for the San Diego County medical marijuana community.
After being locked in solitary confinement, sent to a court appointed psychiatrist and held for almost a month without bail just for attempting to exercise his constitutional right to defend himself in court from Bonnie’s ridiculous “fierce fight“, Jovan Jackson was ultimately acquitted of all charges relating to the operation of Answerdam Alternative Care Collective/Cooperative, a former San Diego medical marijuana “safe access” storefront.
